Pinnacle Point golf course is designed by the award-winning architect Peter Matkovich. It was constructed during 2005 and 2006 on one of the most dramatic coastal sights in the world. We have seven holes that hug the cliff sides and boast magnificent views of the ocean, cliffs, and white waters - not to mention the spectacular golf holes themselves. Pinnacle Point Golf Club has an exceptionally well-balanced golf course, that will challenge the most talented golfer. However, as a result of a minimum of five tee boxes per hole, it allows the average golfer to enjoy their round of golf and perhaps post a personal best score on “The best golf course on the planet” (Darren Clarke).

In designing the Oubaai Golf Club, an 18-hole championship golf course and driving range, Ernie Els and his team have taken full advantage of the spectacular landscape of the Western Cape. They had the support of Nicklaus Design as technical advisors.
The Clubhouse has a dramatic location that overlooks the 16th, 17th and 18th greens. Open-air terraces offer panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and the Gwaing River valley.
The Ernie Els golf design philosophy is based on flexibility. Concepts are moulded according to the landscape, not vice versa. The aim is to produce courses that are fun to play and that enhance the surrounding environment. In addition, golf courses fairly display challenges and hazards while affording players the opportunity to use a full range of shots and plan strategically for individual holes.
Links layout where veld grasses line the lush fairways. The course measures 6516m from the pro tee's which is uniquely long for a Coastal course. Oubaai offers a wonderfully stimulating and enjoyable golfing experience.
The resort offers full facilities including a Clubhouse with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean, locker rooms and Pro Shop. The Course has 5 Par 3's and 5 Par 5's.
The 6th is a Par 3 - the green is framed by the Outeniqua Mountains in the distance and the Gwaing River flows below you. A 120 metre drive is required to cross the gorge and reach the fairway. The 17th is the most photographed hole, where the green meets the ocean. The green is guarded by 4 bunkers with ever changing winds making it one of the most challenging plays.
The course is designed to be enjoyed by golfers of all abilities.

Mossel Bay Golf Club is the friendly club! We aspire to be the friendliest club in South Africa because we believe that friendly service, friendly facilities, and friendly everything contributes to a wonderful golfing experience.
Our research proved to us that golfers perceive overall friendliness, as important as beautiful views, challenging but fair greens and fairways, and 5 star facilities. When we say friendly we mean way more than just a nice smile or a hearty greeting.
Mossel Bay Golf Club was founded in 1905 with the original golf course positioned at the old aerodrome. The land on which the present course was built was made available to the Club by the Mossel Bay Municipality in 1924. The course was designed by Bob Grimsdell and was built over a period of two years. The first President of the Club was Mr. A.I. Vintcent and the first Captain Mr. W.F Wright. The first official competition took place on 24 October 1926. The very first hole-in-one belonged to a lady, Me Doris Wassung, who achieved this on 14 September 1935.During the period 1930 to 1945 severe droughts and a devastating depression in 1933 made the survival of the Club extremely difficult. The whole of South Africa was suffering and the population became very poor. Only the determination and the dedication of the 87 male and 47 lady members at that time, pulled the club through those difficult periods.During 1999/2000 the golf course was redesigned by Danie Obermeyer and rebuilt by Philip Basson. This happened as the result of the vision of a developer, Mr. Urs Windholz, who developed The Mossel Bay Golf Estate (http://www.mosselbaygolfestate.co.za/) on the land surrounding the golf course. His vision included the rebuilding of the golf course and revamping of the club house to create a very upmarket, golfing facility. This development elevated the Mossel Bay Golf Club to another level where at the end of its first century in 2005, the membership reached 1046 and more than 45000 rounds of golf were played. The Mossel Bay Golf Club prides itself as one of the major tourist attractions in our town and in the Garden Route. We welcome you, our guest, to enjoy all our beautiful facilities.

The Kingswood Golf Estate is perfectly placed between the Fancourt Links and George Golf Course at the very heart of the Garden Route’s golf hub.
From its perfect blend of design and scenery, to its temperate weather, you’re certain to find Kingswood’s Championship Golf Course a unique challenge, and one you’ll want to take up again and again.
If you ask a local, they will tell you that Kingswood has the best greens on the Garden Route and this is one of the main reasons why it is often frequented by the Sunshine Tour Players when they are not on tour.
The design is inspired by the Home of Golf, St Andrews (The Old Course) in Scotland with its Links style open fairways, undulating greens and traditional pot bunkers. There is no other course in South Africa like it, which makes it a ‘must play’ if you are travelling in the area.
On the first nine you should be off to a good start as the course follows the spectacular topography of the landscape. The tee boxes have recently been redone and the course is in mint condition. The greens are consistently fast, so soft hands and finesse is the key to sinking your putts.
Your scores should be good on the front nine, as the back nine is a challenge that’s ‘better than most’. From the 10th, the views turn to the Outeniqua Mountains and they are breathtakingly beautiful. Your golf experience builds as each hole is different with its own nuances, trickery and challenge. The last 4 holes is a challenge second to none and if you can make it through here by parring all 4 holes on a competition day with no “gives” – introduce yourself to the management team and collect a free round voucher.
Either way, this ultimate golf challenge will keep you coming back for more. This course is truly the Jewel of the Garden Route and should not be missed on any golfing tour.

Stilbaai Golf Club was founded in 1986 by a few golfers residing in Stilbaai. With the help of the Municipality they obtained a portion of land for development as a golf club.
The course was designed by the members themselves and most of the founding members contributed directly to the building of the course. The course was opened in 1987 in a very “raw” state.
The layout of the course has been changed over the years but has also improved in leaps and bounds.
As usual the coastal weather conditions have a big impact on how the course plays.
The original small clubhouse was a municipal building which was shared with other sport clubs such as tennis and angling. Having been able to eventually purchase the land a beautiful new clubhouse was built on a site which provides magnificent views of the course and Stilbaai itself.
It is hoped that the course will be extended to an 18 hole facility in the future. The club has ground available to do the extension and it would be a magnificent site, taking into account the views, natural coastal vegetation and wildlife.
The club has a membership of 357. The membership has shown a steady growth over the years and it is hoped that this trend will continue.
